La Chambre des représentants a élu le mardi 13 octobre 2026 son nouveau président : Ahmed Touizi, du Parti Authenticité et Modernité (PAM). Lors d'une séance plénière tenue en application de l'article 62 de la Constitution et du règlement intérieur de la Chambre, il a obtenu 220 voix, contre 59 pour Driss El Azami El Idrissi, du Parti de la justice et du développement (PJD). Selon l'agence MAP, 369 voix ont été exprimées et 90 bulletins ont été déclarés nuls. Le vote a lieu à bulletin secret : la majorité absolue des membres de la Chambre, soit 198 voix sur 395, est requise au premier tour, la majorité relative suffit au second. Ahmed Touizi l'a obtenue dès le premier tour. Il succède à Rachid Talbi Alami, du Rassemblement national des indépendants (RNI), qui présidait la Chambre depuis octobre 2021.

Ahmed Touizi était le candidat de la nouvelle majorité gouvernementale, formée par le PAM, l'Istiqlal, l'USFP et le PPS, dont la déclaration commune a été rendue publique le 12 octobre. Élu dans la province d'Al Haouz (région Marrakech-Safi), il a présidé le groupe du PAM à la Chambre des représentants pendant la législature 2021-2026, après avoir siégé à la Chambre des conseillers. Driss El Azami El Idrissi était le candidat du PJD, qui siège dans l'opposition.

Ce mandat ne couvre pas toute la législature. Selon l'article 62 de la Constitution, le président de la Chambre, les membres du Bureau et les présidents des commissions permanentes sont élus au début de la législature, puis à la session d'avril de la troisième année pour la période restant à courir : pour la législature ouverte en octobre 2026, ce sera en avril 2029. Prochaine étape : une séance plénière le mercredi 14 octobre pour élire les membres du Bureau et les présidents des commissions permanentes. Viendront ensuite la nomination des ministres par le Roi, sur proposition de la cheffe du gouvernement Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, puis la présentation du programme gouvernemental devant les deux Chambres et le vote de confiance de la Chambre des représentants (article 88). انتخب مجلس النواب يوم الثلاثاء 13 أكتوبر 2026 رئيسه الجديد: أحمد التويزي، عن حزب الأصالة والمعاصرة. ففي جلسة عمومية عُقدت تطبيقاً للفصل 62 من الدستور ومقتضيات النظام الداخلي للمجلس، حصل على 220 صوتاً، مقابل 59 صوتاً لإدريس الأزمي الإدريسي، عن حزب العدالة والتنمية. وحسب وكالة المغرب العربي للأنباء، بلغ عدد الأصوات المعبر عنها 369 صوتاً، فيما أُلغيت 90 ورقة. ويجري التصويت بالاقتراع السري: تُشترط في الدور الأول الأغلبية المطلقة لأعضاء المجلس، أي 198 صوتاً من أصل 395، وتكفي الأغلبية النسبية في الدور الثاني. وقد حصل عليها أحمد التويزي منذ الدور الأول. ويخلف رشيد الطالبي العلمي، عن حزب التجمع الوطني للأحرار، الذي ترأس المجلس منذ أكتوبر 2021.

وكان أحمد التويزي مرشح الأغلبية الحكومية الجديدة، المكونة من الأصالة والمعاصرة والاستقلال والاتحاد الاشتراكي للقوات الشعبية والتقدم والاشتراكية، التي صدر بلاغها المشترك يوم 12 أكتوبر. وهو منتخب عن إقليم الحوز (جهة مراكش-آسفي)، وترأس فريق الأصالة والمعاصرة بمجلس النواب خلال الولاية التشريعية 2021-2026، بعد أن كان عضواً بمجلس المستشارين. أما إدريس الأزمي الإدريسي فكان مرشح حزب العدالة والتنمية، الذي يوجد في المعارضة.

ولا تشمل هذه الولاية الفترة النيابية كلها. فحسب الفصل 62 من الدستور، يُنتخب رئيس مجلس النواب وأعضاء المكتب ورؤساء اللجان الدائمة في مستهل الفترة النيابية، ثم في سنتها الثالثة عند دورة أبريل لما تبقى من الفترة المذكورة: بالنسبة للولاية التشريعية المفتتحة في أكتوبر 2026، سيكون ذلك في أبريل 2029. المحطة المقبلة: جلسة عمومية يوم الأربعاء 14 أكتوبر لانتخاب أعضاء المكتب ورؤساء اللجان الدائمة. ثم يأتي تعيين الوزراء من طرف جلالة الملك باقتراح من رئيسة الحكومة فاطمة الزهراء المنصوري، فتقديم البرنامج الحكومي أمام مجلسي البرلمان وتصويت مجلس النواب على منح الثقة (الفصل 88). تابعوا أبرز مواعيد الحياة الوطنية في تقويم المغرب على calendriermaroc.com.

Morocco's House of Representatives elected its new Speaker on Tuesday, October 13, 2026: Ahmed Touizi, of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM). At a plenary sitting held under Article 62 of the Constitution and the House's rules of procedure, he received 220 votes, against 59 for Driss El Azami El Idrissi, of the Justice and Development Party (PJD). According to the MAP news agency, 369 votes were cast and 90 ballots were declared void. The vote is by secret ballot: an absolute majority of the House's members, 198 votes out of 395, is required in the first round, and a relative majority is enough in the second. Ahmed Touizi obtained it in the first round. He succeeds Rachid Talbi Alami, of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), who had led the House since October 2021.

Ahmed Touizi was the candidate of the new governing majority, made up of the PAM, Istiqlal, the USFP and the PPS, whose joint statement was released on October 12. Elected in the province of Al Haouz (Marrakech-Safi region), he chaired the PAM group in the House of Representatives during the 2021-2026 legislature, after sitting in the House of Councillors. Driss El Azami El Idrissi was the candidate of the PJD, which sits in the opposition.

The term does not cover the whole legislature. Under Article 62 of the Constitution, the Speaker, the members of the Bureau and the chairs of the standing committees are elected at the start of the legislature, then again at the April session of its third year for the remaining period: for the legislature opened in October 2026, that will be in April 2029. Next step: a plenary sitting on Wednesday, October 14 to elect the members of the Bureau and the chairs of the standing committees. Then come the appointment of the ministers by the King, on the proposal of head of government Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, the presentation of the government programme to both houses and the House of Representatives' vote of confidence (Article 88).
